MHHS boys finish 3rd, girls end up tied for 5th at Y-Timing High School Running Festival

The Mountain Home High School track teams began the outdoor season Friday by competing in the Y-Timing High School Running Festival.

The Bombers finished third on the boys’ side. Conner King was second in the 1600-meter run and fourth in the 3200-meter run, Jackson Barr ended up third in the 800-meter run, Garrett Barr took third place in the 1600-meter run, and Zach Daugherty finished fifth in the 200-meter dash. The team of Daugherty, Strat Rucker, Gus Wilber and Ben Souder was second in the 4×400-meter relay; Souder, Taylon Peterson, Trae Holliday and Talan Palmer ended up third in the 4×100-meter relay; and Jacob Bellomy, Jake Thomas, Reece Lara and Elijah Hillstrom took fifth place in the 4×200-meter relay.

Mountain Home’s girls finished in a tie for fifth place. Erin Smith was fifth in the 3200-meter run. Camilla Johnson, Annyston Crooker, Bailey Ritenburg and Jada Johnson ended up second in the 4×400-meter relay.

Both team titles were captured by Bentonville.
