
The ASU-Mountain Home baseball team left no doubt as they completed the weekend sweep over Coahoma Saturday in Clarksdale, Miss. The TrailBlazers ended up with 15 base hits as they routed the Tigers 20-3.
Colin Olivi picked up the win as he pitched six innings, struck out four batters and gave up two earned runs. Masen Lemons ended up with a scoreless relief inning and two strikeouts.
ASU-Mountain Home started slow, but they broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning on six hits. The frame was highlighted by a two-run home run by Spencer Mounce over the right field wall. Mounce ended the day with two dingers and five RBIs.
The TrailBlazers scored six more runs in the fifth inning and another six in the seventh. Yadiel Calnales was 3-for-3 on the day with three stolen bases; and Ricardo Requena, Reece Bariola and Gabriel Ellison also had multiple hits in the game.
ASU-Mountain Home improves to 11-7 on the season, they’ll head to Arkadelphia on Wednesday for a doubleheader with Henderson State.
