Lamar girls top Dover in Class 3A state title game

The Class 3A girls’ state championship game ended Thursday in Hot Springs with Lamar handing Dover its only loss of the season. The Lady Warriors won their first state title in 34 years as they beat the Lady Pirates 65-52.

Kori Sanders was named the MVP as she was Lamar’s top scorer with 29 points, and Emma Bailey chipped in 21. Logan Young finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds for Dover, and Kenzie McCrotty grabbed 11 boards.

The Lady Warriors’ final record is 36-2. The Lady Pirates fall to 34-1.
