
Baseball and softball make up much of the local St. Patrick’s Day schedule.
The Mountain Home High School baseball team will be back in front of the home crowd. It’s the start of the 5A-West slate for the Bombers as they welcome Siloam Springs to McClain Park. The varsity game begins at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.
Elsewhere on the baseball schedule, Cotter hosts Calico Rock, Norfork entertains Rural Special for a doubleheader, Flippin will meet Valley Springs at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison, Yellville-Summit is home against Melbourne, Viola hosts Concord, Bakersfield will be among those taking part in a jamboree at Dora, Gainesville will play in another jamboree at West Plains, Salem entertains Mountain View, Izard County travels to Mammoth Spring, Marshall is home against Tuckerman, Lead Hill makes the trip to Jasper, Bergman heads to Cave City, and Omaha hosts Deer.
Mountain Home’s softball squad will have another road trip as they go up against Southside Batesville. The varsity game gets underway at 4, and the J.V. contest will follow.
