
The Arkansas Activities Association has released its All-State and All-State Tournament teams from the high school basketball season. Several athletes from the area were recognized.
In Class 5A, Mountain Home was represented on the girls’ side by Laykin Moore and Livi Fosness on the All-State team and Brooklynn Mitchell on the All-State Tournament team. On the boys’ side, Ryder Scribner of Harrison was placed on both lists and is joined on the All-State team by teammates Cole Cecil and Hayden Martin.
In Class 1A, the All-State girls’ team includes Maggie Tyrone of Norfork; Rayleigh Turner and Rieley Sutterfield of Rural Special; Lyla Raulston, Laney Daniels, Jadeyn Middleton, and Tiana Siebert of Jasper. Raulston and Turner also were listed on the All-State Tournament Team. On the boys side, the All-State team is made up of Landon Russel and Heath Brothers of Calico Rock, Braden Avey of Timbo, Kasen Stevens and Brayden Watts of Rural Special, Noah Morrison of Omaha and Spencer Traywick and Sawyer Willis of Jasper. Brett Arnold of Lead Hill and Blake Williams of Jasper were included on the All-State Tournament team.
In Class 3A, the All-State boys’ list includes Rilyn Robins of Flippin; Hayden Edwards and Malcolm Hammack of Melbourne; Dylan Friend, Sawyer Schubert, and Zion Fultz of Bergman; and Keyton Carnahan of Valley Springs. Robins and Edwards are also listed on the All-State Tournament team joined by Melbourne’s Tanner Williams and Bergman’s Jace Holt. On the girls’ side, the All-State team is made up of Melbourne’s Kaylin Caraway and Kylea Morgan; Mountain View’s Emma Akins, Evvi Cooper, and Jaci Cooper; Bergman’s Brinley Collins and Jacey Halitzka; and Valley Springs’ Macy Willis. Collins is joined on the All-State Tournament team by Kallie Thornton of Melbourne and Erin Akins of Mountain View.
In Class 2A, the All-State girls’ team consists of Quinn Johnson, Olivia Spray, and Makensie Yancey of Izard County; Audrey Blair of Marshall; and Mehaley Gilmore and Kelly Middleton of Ozark Mountain. Middleton, Johnson, Spray, and Yancey are also a part of the All-State Tournament team. Quinn Johnson also was listed as the MVP in the state championship game. Gabe Spray and Cash Arnhart of Izard County and Tate Dixon and Mason Gilomore of Ozark Mountain make up the All-State team on the boys side. Spray is also listed on the All-State Tournament Team.
