Thursday soccer results include MHHS splitting with Van Buren

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams had mixed results Thursday as they hosted Van Buren.
The Lady Bombers picked up their first conference win as the shut out the Lady Bombers 4-0. Kelsey Blackwell led Mountain Home with a hat trick, and Jocelyn Hill added a goal. The back line of Nikata Brunette, Kendra McLean, Kynleigh Reynolds, Abigail Dettlebach and goalkeeper Kiana Talbot allowed zero goals. The Lady Bombers improve to 5-3 on the season and 1-3 in the 5A-West.
Mountain Home did not fare as well in the varsity boys’ match as they fell to Van Buren 4-1. The Bombers drop to 0-4-4 overall and 0-3-1 in the league.
Mountain Home also lost the junior varsity boys’ match to Van Buren 2-1.

Elsewhere, Mountain View hosted Cave City for a doubleheader. The boys’ match ended in a 3-3 draw between the Yellowjackets and the Cavemen. In the girls’ match, Mountain View fell to Cave City 5-2.

Harrison also had a home outing as they took on Alma. The Lady Goblins blanked the Lady Airedales 7-0. In the boys’ match, Harrison and Alma played to a 1-1 draw.
