Fulton County Sheriff Jake Smith is urging residents to exercise caution as heavy rainfall is expected to impact the area.
In a statement, Smith advised citizens to avoid attempting to cross low-water bridges until floodwaters have receded. Residents whose only route out involves a low-water crossing are encouraged to contact the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department before traveling. Deputies will be available to check crossings for safety.
The sheriff also recommended that residents stock up on water and other essential supplies before the rain begins.
