Friday track results include MHHS boys finishing 6th, girls ending up 10th in Fayetteville Bulldog Relays

The Mountain Home High School track teams competed in the Fayetteville Bulldog Relays Friday at Ramay Junior High School.
The Bombers finished sixth on the boys’ side with Bryant getting the win. Individually for Mountain Home, Adam Jones won the pole vault with a personal record of 15 1/2 feet, Zach Daugherty was second in the same event, Jackson Free and Garrett Barr ended up second and third in the 1600-meter run, and Connor King took third place in the 3200-meter run.
The Lady Bombers finished 10th in the girls’ team standings as the team title stayed with Fayetteville. Mountain Home’s top performance came from Jada Johnson, Annyston Crooker, Brooklynn Mitchell and Camilla Johnson as they were fourth in the 4×200-meter relay.

A few area high schools sent their track teams to Green Forest to take part in the Anstaff Relays.
The host Tigers won the boys’ title. Flippin ended up second, Valley Springs took fourth place, Norfork finished fifth, Omaha was sixth, Ozark Mountain ended up seventh, and Bergman took ninth place.
Flippin had several individual victories. Kolby Hurst won the high jump, the triple jump and the 200-meter dash; fellow Bobcat Blayne Thompson won the 400-meter dash; and Rene Rascon won the 300-meter hurdles. The team of Rascon, Colin English, Christian Wire and Thompson won the 4×400-meter relay; and Hurst, Broderick Warnock, Thompson and English won the 4×200-meter relay.
The team victory on the girls’ side went to Kingston. Flippin finished third, Bergman was fourth, Omaha ended up fifth, Norfork took sixth place, Cotter and Valley Springs finished tied for seventh, and Ozark Mountain was 10th.
Among the area athletes, Alyssa Shelton of Flippin won the 800-meter run, Bergman’s Kinsley See won the high jump, fellow Lady Panther Jacey Halitzka won the shot put, and Macy Willis of Valley Springs won the 400-meter dash. Bergman’s team of Avery West, See, Halitzka and Keira Keys won the 4×200-meter relay.
