
Wednesday will be a busy day for track and field, especially at Bomber Stadium where two meets will be held.
The Mountain Home High School teams were originally set to host the Bomber Relays on Thursday, but it was moved up a day to the threat of weather. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will be competing against several schools including Mountain Home Christian Academy, Cotter, Norfork, Flippin, Yellville-Summit, Calico Rock, Bakersfield, Salem, Izard County, Mammoth Spring, Melbourne, Marshall, Timbo, Lead Hill, Bergman, Harrison and Omaha. The start time is set for 3:30.
Prior to the Bomber Relays, several junior high athletes will gather at Bomber Stadium in the morning as Yellville-Summit will be the designated host for the 3A-2 Junior Conference Meet. Area schools featured in the meet include Flippin, Salem, Melbourne, Mountain View, Bergman and Valley Springs. Action begins at 9.
Elsewhere, Izard County will be the site of the 2A-2 Junior Conference Meet. Cotter, Mammoth Spring and Marshall will be among the schools participating. Events get underway at 9:30.
Ozark Mountain will send its junior high teams to Eureka Springs for the 2A-1 Junior Conference Meet. Action will get underway at 3:30.
