Thursday schedule includes MHHS softball team at Greene County Tech

The Mountain Home High School softball team will have another road trip on Thursday. The Lady Bombers will be in Paragould for an outing with Greene County Tech. The varsity game begins at 4 followed by the junior varsity contest.

The 2A-1 District Softball Tournament will get underway at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Ozark Mountain faces Alpena at 4, and Cotter gets the winner in the semifinals at 6:45.

The Equity Bank Sports Complex will also be the site for the 1A-1 District Softball Tournament. Norfork and Lead Hill get underway at 5, and Omaha and Jasper will follow at 6.

Two area softball teams will square off in the championship game of the 3A-2 District Tournament at Cave City. Salem takes on Melbourne at 4:30.

Izard County’s softball team will compete for the title of the 2A-2 District Tournament at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden. The Lady Cougars play Tuckerman at 5.

Elsewhere on the softball schedule, Dora travels to Winona.

The 2A-1 District Baseball Tournament will begin at the Equity Bank Sports Complex. Cotter and Ozark Mountain are both scheduled for 7:30 games. The Warriors will be paired with the winner of the 5:00 game between Alpena and Eureka Springs on Pippin Field, and the Bears will face either Ozark Catholic or Decatur on Jack Williams Field.

The 1A-1 District Baseball Tournament will also be held in Harrison. Omaha takes on Deer at 5, and Norfork plays the winner at 8. Lead Hill will be matched up with Jasper at 6:30.

Flippin’s baseball team will make up its semifinal game in the 3A-2 District Tournament at Cave City. The Bobcats face the host Cavemen at 4, and the winner advances to take on Melbourne for the championship at 6:30.

Two area baseball teams will face off in the semifinals of the 1A-2 District Tournament at Viola. The host Longhorns play Calico Rock at 1, and the winner will go up against either Concord or Greers Ferry West Side for the championship at 5.

Izard County’s baseball team will return to Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden for the title game of the 2A-2 District Tournament. The Cougars face Cedar Ridge at 5.

In other high school baseball, Bakersfield makes the trip to Cabool, Gainesville hosts Sparta, and Dora heads to Salem, Mo.
