
Day one of the College of the Ozarks baseball tournament at Branson ended with two wins for the Mountain Home American Legion Lockeroom.
In the opening game Ryder McClain collected four hits in four at bats, as Lockeroom defeated the Sedalia Travelers 10-2 on Thursday.
Ian Ellison earned the win for Mountain Home Lockeroom on the mound. Ellison allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking three.
Mountain Home Lockeroom accumulated 13 hits in the game. Mason Sinclair, McClain, Corbett, and McCandlis each drove in two runs for Mountain Home Lockeroom. Lincoln Sherry and Cash Arnhart each collected multiple hits for Mountain Home Lockeroom.
Shortly following the opening game the Mountain Home team faced Branson and came up with the win 5-0.
Maddex Chism earned the win for Lockeroom, striking out six and walking four.
Jordan Corbett and Lincoln Sherry each collected two hits for Mountain Home Lockeroom. Chafin, Owen Hyslip, Sherry, and Xander McCandlis each drove in one run for Mountain Home Lockeroom. Mountain Home Lockeroom turned one double play in the game.
Lockeroom will continue in day 2 of the tournament Friday with another game against Sedalia scheduled for 4.
