Marion County Chief Deputy Mark Hollingsworth has completed the Sheriff’s Administrative Management Course at the Criminal Justice Institute in Little Rock, Sheriff Gregg Alexander announced this week.

The program, developed by Arkansas sheriffs, focuses on law enforcement office operations and covers topics such as budgeting, jail standards, legal issues, legislative audits, and risk management. It also emphasizes building relationships with other elected officials.

The 32-hour course was held over a six-month period, meeting two days every other month. The final session included a four-hour roundtable discussion where participants shared experiences, reviewed course materials, and discussed current trends and best practices.

Hollingsworth has served as Marion County’s chief deputy since 2023, following his retirement from the Arkansas State Police.
