The Agape Food Room is seeking donations of canned and boxed food to help support the more than 350 families it serves each month, and organizers are turning to the Fulton County Fair for help.
Fairgoers will find donation boxes set up inside the Exhibit Building and Civic Center throughout the fair. If volunteers are available, additional collection bins will also be placed outside during the four nights of arena events.
In addition to food items, the Agape Food Room is accepting cash or check donations. Checks should be made payable to “Agape Food Room.”
Organizers say the need is especially critical during the summer months, when food insecurity often increases for families with children out of school.
