On this episode of Talk of the Town, host Adam Rogers welcomes Anna Barnett from the University of Arkansas Department of Agriculture Fulton County Extension Office to discuss an upcoming event designed to bring homesteaders together. “Hands on Homesteading,” set for February 18 at the Fulton County Fairgrounds, will offer practical learning opportunities for beginners, experienced homesteaders, and anyone curious about self-sufficient living.
The event will feature demonstrations and instruction on topics such as basic sourdough starter care, beekeeping fundamentals, building a rain barrel, Canning 101, and more. Organizers hope this first gathering will spark interest and help grow a series of future homesteading workshops in the community.
