Fishing Tournament Update

In our fishing tournament update:

In the Anchor Pointe Winter Series tournament on New Years Day, out of Anchor Pointe Marina, Jake Christeson took first place with a total weight of 16.69 pounds. In second place was Justin Smotherman and Gayle Julian with a total weight of 16.04 pounds. Grant Farmer and Scott Boaz finished in third at 15.82 pounds, and they also took home the big bass at 4.67 pounds. Big smallmouth out of the money went to Chris Dollard and Lanny Dooley at 3.24 pounds.

In the third tournament of the Lake Norfork Winter Bass Series; Anthony Gates and Lyn Luther took home first place honors with a total weight of 15.61 pounds. In second place was Mark Gower and Brian Crecelius with a total weight of 15.39 pounds, they also took home Big Bass with 4.68 pounds. In third place was Chris Page and Jerry Buck at 15.21 pounds.

The next event in the Anchor Pointe Winter series will be Jan. 31. Entry fee is $120 per team, a one-time membership fee of $10 is required to offset equipment cost per team and the championship pot is $1,500.
