A Faulkner County man faces multiple drug counts after a visit to the North Central Prison Unit near Calico Rock last weekend. According to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence, 23-year-old Justin Geeslin of Conway was arrested September 28th and charged with seven felonies related to illegal drugs and a felony for furnishing prohibited articles in a lockup facility.

Sheriff Lawrence says correction officers discovered the inmate Geeslin visited had smokeless tobacco in his pockets. Correction officers were assisted by Izard County Sheriff’s deputies and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

Geeslin was charged with a Class A felony count of possession with the purpose to deliver methamphetamine, a Class B felony count of possession with the purpose to use paraphernalia to pack or store methamphetamine, Class C felony counts of furnishing prohibited articles and possession with the purpose to deliver oxycodone, a schedule II narcotic, Class D felony counts of possession with the purpose to deliver marijuana and possession with the purpose to deliver alprazolam, a schedule IV narcotic, an unclassified felony count of possession of prescribed narcotics outside the dispensed container and possession to deliver a controlled substance near a certain facility. He was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $30,000 bond Wednesday, and he is scheduled to appear in circuit court September 19th.
