Counterfeit bills are reported to have shown up at various Izard County businesses. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, three fake $100 bills have surfaced in Horseshoe Bend, and another was found in Calico Rock. All have the same serial number of AB13990778M.
Sheriff Lawrence says a fake $20 bill and a fake $10 bill have also surfaced in Horseshoe Bend. According to the sheriff, the front and back of the bills appeared to have been glued together, and the glue is not holding.
