A few local girls’ basketball teams competed in the second day of the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament. Gainesville advanced to the semifinals with a 39-26 win over Houston. Dora moved on to the consolation semifinals by topping Ava 52-49 in overtime.
Three area boys’ teams took part in the consolation bracket of the Cabool Holiday Tournament. Bakersfield beat Dora 50-46, and Gainesville was a 66-57 winner over Couch.
