Michael McQueen, who is currently an inmate in the state prison system serving out a sentence on an earlier conviction, was sentenced to five years in prison on drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
The 48-year-old McQueen admitted the charges against him in two pending cases filed as the result of compliance visits to his residence along Winterberry Street in Salesville by parole and probation officers.
The first came on May 25th last year when officers discovered paraphernalia intended for ingesting drugs, including smoking devices used for both methamphetamine and marijuana, along with a quantity of Tramadol pills. Tramadol is a schedule four controlled substance.
The second compliance visit came on February 3rd when officers found various items of drug paraphernalia including syringes, smoking pipes and digital scales.
McQueen is currently being housed in the North Central Unit of the state prison system at Calico Rock.
