A Cotter man, 23-year-old Cody Wayne Salle, was arrested Tuesday on felony possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia charges. He was booked into the Baxter County Jail on a $5,000 bond and released the same day.According to the arrest affidavit, Salle’s girlfriend kicked him out of her residence and called 9-1-1, because she no longer wanted him there. He left and returned, at which time she called police again.

When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the scene they noticed Salle bent down and dropped something. Upon further investigation they noticed a backpack about five feet from the residence and a hole in the skirting at the bottom of the home with a brown wallet and folded up plastic bag. Inside the wallet they found a crystal-like substance, suspected to be methamphetamine, and a spoon from the backpack with residue on it.

Sallee is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court April 28th.
