A Salem man, 59-year-old William Chilcutt, is scheduled to appear in Fulton County Circuit Court Tuesday to face felony charges involving an alleged kidnapping, assault and burglary in Morriston. According to Fulton County Sheriff Albert Roork, the incident happened May sixth on Country Springs Road. He is being held without bond on a parole violation.Chilcutt is alleged to have kicked in the front door of a residence, entered and grabbed a woman by the head of her hair, dragging her to his car while threatening her with a knife.
He was charged with felony kidnapping, two counts of residential burglary, aggravated assault and other misdemeanor charges of DWI and careless or prohibited driving.
