A disturbance at a local apartment complex Wednesday eventually led to the arrest of Phillip Ray Wilcoxon of Mountain Home on drug charges and a parole violation. His is being held in the Baxter County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manual, police department investigators went to an apartment complex to investigate a separate criminal complaint. While inside an apartment, investigators tried to speak with Wilcoxon about the complaint. He apparantly became agitated and began using foul language.

Wilcoxon is not a renter or lessor of an apartment at the complex and management wanted him removed from the property. Investigators told him he needed to leave the property and not use foul language once outside the apartment, due to other tenants and children in the area.

He refused to heed the warning and continued his behavior once outside. He was then placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and initially resisted, but was soon placed in custody. During a search of Wilcoxon, investigators found a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor violation for resisting arrest and is also being held for a parole violation.
