An alleged sexual assault of two young girls was reported in Izard County. According to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley, a 34-year-old Horseshoe Bend man was taken into custody as a suspect.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office received a call in referencee to two young girls running down Day road wearing t-shirts and no pants. One of the girls, age 15, claimed she was sexually assaulted. Both girls were transported to White River Medical Center in Highland to get checked out.
The suspect is currently placed on an investigative hold pending formal charges.
