Ford to enter treatment program

Makeltee Ford of Flippin, who was found to have 169 dosage units of LSD, three grams of methamphetamine, two Xanax bars and items of drug paraphernalia when arrested appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her.The 21-year-old Ford was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on State Highway 5 in early June and arrested when a small bag which Ford admitted was hers, was found to contain three syringes and what appeared to be a plastic bag of methamphetamine. When a further search of the bag was made once Ford was brought to the Baxter County jail, the LSD and other items were found.

During Thursday’s court appearance, Ford’s bond was lowered from $100,000 to $10,000 and she was allowed to enter the treatment program operated by Care Center Ministries.

If Ford leaves the program, she is required to immediately return to the Baxter County jail. She was ordered to re-appear in Circuit Court on July 13th.
