A Yellville man, 22-year-old Jerrad Kingbird, is being held in the Marion County jail on a felony drug charge.

According to the arrest affidavit, a ranger with the Bull Shoals-White River State Park observed Kingbird and a second individual in a vehicle in an area closed to the public after 10 p.m.

Kingbird advised the ranger there could be a “few outstanding warrants” for him. The ranger verified a valid warrant from Marion County. After placing him under arrest, Kingbird was asked if there was anything sharp, knives or needles the ranger should know about.

Kingbird advised the ranger of a meth rig under the driver’s seat of the vehicle in a black case that belonged to him. He explained to the ranger that a meth rig was a needle and a syringe that he had used to inject methamphetamine.

These items were located, along with two small bags that appeared to have trace amounts of residue consistent with what was believed to be methamphetamine.

Kingbird has been charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held in the Marion County jail on a bond of $13,070 and should appear in circuit court.
