A Newton County woman is accused of injuring her grandmother and an infant. According to Sheriff Keith Slape, 26-year-old Amanda Munday of Western Grove is in the Newton County Jail on two counts of first-degree domestic battery and one count each of endangering the welfare of a minor, endangering the welfare of the elderly, criminial mischief, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office received a call Thursday of an incident occurring at a residence south of Western Grove on Arkansas Highway 123. Sheriff Slape says Deputy Marc Lowery responded and found Munday breaking the windows out of her grandparents’ house. After an alleged altercation with Munday, Deputy Lowery found an 89-year-old woman and a nine-month-old baby, and both had injuries.

Bond for Munday is set at $50,000.
