A Harrison man, 40-year-old Carl Wayne Richardson, who has been linked to multiple vehicle thefts, was caught Wednesday and booked into the Boone County Jail early Thursday morning on multiple charges including two felony counts of theft of property. He is being held without bond.According to Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore, Richardson was apprehended after a chase on a stolen four-wheeler. Richardson was suspected of stealing a church van July 13th. He allegedly used the van for additional thefts including a camper stolen from Taney County.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department caught up with Richardson Sunday, however he was able to elude them.

Later Richardson stole a Suzuki Sidekick, which was eventually recovered near Forsyth.

He was spotted Tuesday evening after a reported rollover accident on Denning Road in Boone County. He fled the scene, managing to steal another vehicle from the Reed Springs area. While officers were searching for him he stole a large water truck from Apac-Arkola Sand and Gravel, near Bear Creek Springs. He drove through fences in the area and eventually wrecked the truck in a creek. Afterward he stole the four-wheeler from a local residence. Officers were finally able to catch up with him a short time later and took him into custody.

Investigators have linked Ricardson to a number of additional thefts in both Missouri and Arkansas.

He was recently released from prison eight months ago for similar acts.
