Ryan Farnam, the husband of alleged burglary suspect Rashel Farnam, was arrested by Arkansas State Police Sunday on a felony theft by receiving charge after an investigator from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department determined Ryan Farnam allegedly tried to sell a ring his wife is suspected of stealing.

According to the arrest affidavit, Rashel Farnam faces charges stemming from the alleged theft of jewelry and other items with an estimated value of up to $50,000 from the home of relatives in early July. One of the items taken was a ladies diamond ring with an estimated value of $2,000. During an interview, Rashel stated, when asked where the ring was, she had thrown it out of the window of her vehicle somewhere between Mountain Home and Russellville.

On July 10th a family member of the victim of the burglary, told the victim Ryan had come to her home and attempted to sell her the ring for $400. The family member took the ring from Ryan and told him to leave. Afterward she returned the ring to its rightful owner.

In an interview with Ryan he allegedly admitted to taking the ring and trying to sell it. When he was asked how he became in possession of the ring he said he found it in Rashel’s purse.

The purse had been previously searched by investigators and the ring was not found.
