A Mountain Home man, 18-year-old Luke Tidwell, has been charged in connection with stolen medications and vandalism to a recreational vehicle.

Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says his department received two incident reports last week with Tidwell listed as the suspect in both cases.

In the first report, a recreational vehicle parked behind a local business was vandalized causing approximately $5,000 in damages. During an interview, Tidwell allegedly admitted to damaging the vehicle but did not agree with the total amount of damages.

In the second report, four medications were reported stolen from a residence. The victim stated she suspected her grandson having taken the medications. During the investigation into both reports, officers found Tidwell in possession of one dosage of Prednisone, 23 Tramadol, 17 Gabapentin, and 14 Hydrocodone, the four types of medications taken.

Tidwell was arrested Tuesday and charged with controlled substance-fraudulent practices, possession of a controlled substance (Hydrocodone), and criminal mischief, all felony counts. He was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center and released the same day after posting a $2,500 bond.
