Prison inmate Greer sentenced to five more years

Lakin Nicole Greer of Mountain Home, who is currently an inmate in the state prison system on an earlier conviction, was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to drug related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 25-year-old Greer was arrested March 21st when 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force officers executed a search warrant at a residence along West Main Street in Gassville.

The officers found Greer, who was then classified as a parole absconder, in the residence. She allegedly told the officers that she had a syringe containing methamphetamine in her belongings. Officers found the syringe in her clothing in the living room of the residence.

Greer is currently an inmate in the McPherson Unit of the state prison system at Newport.
