One dead after shooting outside gas station in Marmaduke

(AP) – Arkansas State Police say one person was killed and
another person was arrested after an argument and shooting at a gas station in
northeastern Arkansas.Marmaduke police say the incident occurred about 10 a.m. Friday at a station
on U.S. 49. The trouble started with “a verbal altercation” and one person fired
a gun several times. A person shot died later at a hospital.

One person was arrested. No names were immediately released.

Marmaduke is about 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of Memphis, Tennessee.
