Robinson, Ruff win Arvest Charity Tournament

The 21st annual Arvest Bank Charity Tournament was held Saturday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club, and Joey Robinson and Ronnie Ruff ended up winning the Championship Flight of the tournament. Robinson and Ruff shot a 15-under-par 57 to finish three strokes ahead of the teams of Dave Butterfield and Isaac Gaston and John and Seth Sullivant.

The A Flight had a tie for the top spot after four teams each had a seven-under-par 65, but the tiebreaker went to Jerry Walker and Terry Cormican. The teams of Ricky Johnson and Jeff Pipkin, Robin Myers and Lang Zimmerman and Joe Durham and Randy Gott also finished with 65.

Another tie had to be broken in the B Flight as five teams ended up with a three-under-par 69. Charlie Hoover and Roger Simons won the tie breaker beating out the teams of Travis Sullivan and Steve Smith, Eric Lunnen and Clint Recktenwald, Scott and Eric Tennyson and Brian Radcliff and John Persico.

David Barrett and Chaun Molten shot a 73 to win the C Flight. Barrett and Molten finished one stroke ahead of the teams of David Thompson and Joe Belvedresi and Morgan Jones and David McLean.

Matt and Kelly Johnson won Mixed Championship Flight as the pair had a nine-under-par 63. Kenzie Collins and Brian Weidrick ended up one stroke back, and Perry and Melissa Cox had a 68.
