A Mountain Home woman, 39-year-old Dawn Conni Lambert, was arrested Monday on felony battery charges after an argument with her mother over a phone call turned physical. Lambert is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $17,980 bond for felony battery in the second degree and other misdemeanor charges.According to the arrest affidavit in the case, 911 dispatch received a call an assault was taking place at a residence on Sugar Ridge Terrace. The caller hung up without giving further information. As dispatch called the residence back a household member advised the victim was needing medical attention.

When a Baxter County Sherrif’s Deputy arrived on the scene he encountered Lambert’s mother on the couch with a swollen face and a bloody nose. Emergency personnel arrived on scene, however the report doesn’t state whether she was taken to the hospital.

Lambert allegedly admitted she lost her temper after she had asked her mother to use her phone to call her aunt. When the mother asked Labert why, Lambert told her mother it was none of her business and an argument ensued. It escalated to the point where Lambert’s mother pushed her, then Lambert began punching her mother in the face and on her body.

Lambert also stated her mother had pushed her lightly and not enough to knock her down.

The affidavit says Lambert expressed remorse over the incident and stated repeatedly she never should have done that to her mother.
