Reppell Diabetes Learning Center to host ‘Diabetes and Your Heart’

Tuesday is World Diabetes Day, and the Reppell Diabetes Learning Center will host as special program as part of the celebration. “Diabetes and Your Heart” will be held Tuesday from 10:00 to 6:00 in the Lagerborg Dining Room of Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Reppell Diabetes Learning Center Coordinator Jodi Bodenhamer was a recent guest of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and she says diabetes can have a significant impact on the human heart.

The program will feature several guest speakers including Dr. Patrick Tobbia from Cardiovascular Associates of North Central Arkansas, Dr. Daniel Decker from the Baxter Regional Urology Clinic and Arkansas Saves Coordinator Kim Foxworthy. It was also include a guest from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, vendors, cooking demonstrations, giveaways and games.
