NAP deadline for crop producers approaching fast

Baxter and Marion counties have a recent change in the Non-Insured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) for mixed forage for the 2018 crop year. The growing season for mixed forage full season grazing will be 305 days, from January 15, 2018 through November 15, 2018.For all producers interested in obtaining coverage, the cost is $250 per crop, unless participants are a beginning farmer, socially underserved or a limited resource producer. The deadline to purchase coverage and report acreage is November 15, 2018.
