The Bombers fell at home to Paragould by a final of 65-58. The Rams had the lead throughout the entire first half, and they went into the halftime locker room up by double digits. Mountain Home came back in the third quarter scoring the first nine points of the period. The Bombers were down by a single possession to start the final quarter, but that didn’t last long as they were eventually able to go up 48-45. Unfortunately for Mountain Home, Paragould sank four big threes from Chris Payne and Derek Shollenbarger leading toward another double digit advantage. In the end, the Bombers had to start fouling, and the Rams sank enough free throws to go on to a seven-point win.

David Wehmeyer and Luke Kruse led Mountain Home with 13 points each, and Talyn Benton and Hunter Beshears added 11 points apiece. For Paragould, Caden Loyd scored 19 points, and Shollenbarger had 15.

The Rams begin the season at 1-0. The Bombers drop to 0-1, and they’ll have their first road test Friday night at Siloam Springs.
