The North Central Board of Realtors is continuing its 23-year tradition of making hunger relief a top priority. The annual Feed Our Children project brought in a collection total of $8,250, and on Friday, the Board of Realtors and its affiliate members loaded nearly 58,000 pounds of food to provide over 48,000 meals to food banks, shelters and holiday distribution sites in Baxter and Marion Counties and Calico Rock.

Over 12,000 Baxter, Marion and Izard County residents are considered to be “food insecure.” The North Central Board of Realtors says in a news release it’s honored to serve alongside local volunteers in an effort to create communities without hunger.

The Board states they want to thank Hobby Lobby for the use of its parking lot, Jackson Rentals for the use of its forklift and the Realtors and affiliates who loaded the groceries.
