BXCO Historical Society to present ‘Voices and Visions’

“Voices and Visions of the Past-Pioneer Schools and Teachers of Baxter County” will be the topic of the next Baxter County Historical & Genealogical Society meeting Tuesday evening at 6:00 in the Knox Room of the Donald W. Reynolds Library.President David Benedict will present “Voices and Visions” which includes two multimedia presentations, created in 1985 by the local Phi Delta Gamma educator’s chapter, with 35 mm slides and audio recordings. The Society digitized the material for presentation using PowerPoint. There are pictures of schools which once existed, but are no more. The recorded voices of early Baxter County teachers will be heard as they recount their experiences.

The Baxter County Historical and Genealogical Society meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month to conduct business, and hear an informative presentation from a guest speaker. The meeting is free and everyone is welcome.
