The Mountain Home High School girls’ basketball team went down to the wire Friday in the semifinals of the Lady Eagle Invitational at Greene County Tech High School in Paragould. The Lady Bombers came up just short as they fell to Little Rock Christian 50-47.
The game never was a blowout on either side. The Lady Warriors went into the locker room up two at the break. Mountain Home took control of the third quarter and ended the period with a nine-point advantage. The game was tied toward the end until Little Rock Christian converted an old-fashioned three in the last few seconds of the game to clinch the victory.
The Lady Bombers fall to 2-3, and they’ll compete for third place Saturday at 2 p.m.
