Christopher Croteau of Mountain Home was given four additional years in prison after he pled guilty to charges related to his unsuccessful attempt to outrun police by speeding through a large area both inside and outside the city limits.
At the time of the pursuit, Croteau was a parolee from an earlier conviction. At one point, officers from a number of agencies were involved in the high-speed chase.
The pursuit began when an officer noticed the vehicle Croteau was driving swerve left of center and exceeding the posted speed limit.
At one point, Croteau bolted from his vehicle and fled on foot, but was apprehended after a short distance.
Croteau, whose criminal history extends back to at least 1999, is currently an inmate in the Tucker Unit of the state prison system.
