Justin Avers of Mountain Home was given four years in prison after officers went to his home along Bellwood Lane to conduct a compliance visit and found items the felon is not allowed to have in his possession.

He was sentenced during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

During the search, officers found drug paraphernalia, including used syringes and small plastic bags containing what was believed to be methamphetamine residue.

A firearm was also found. It is illegal for Avers, a convicted felon, to be in contact with firearms.
