In high school basketball Thursday night, the Battle of the Border Tournament continued at Mammoth Spring. In girl’s action, Cotter beat Salem 44-30. Alexa Wooten led the Lady Warriors with 18 points and Sam Sanchez added 10.
In the other girl’s game, Mammoth Spring whipped Eminence 82-50. Whitlee Layne scored 26, Bailey Hocum had 19 and Terra Godwin scored 18 as the Lady Bears improve to 14-4 on the season.
In boy’s games, Mammoth Spring lost to Couch 61-51. Sagen Godwin paced the Bears with 19 points, Alex Mero had 12 and Brett Mayfield scored 10 for the Bears who fall to 10-5.
The other boy’s game saw Mountain View-Liberty defeat Sloan-Hendrix 67-64.
In junior high hoops, Mountain Home lost a pair of junior girl’s games at home.
The Junior Lady Bombers fell to Bentonville 48-23.
The 8th grades lost to Washington Junior High 31-28.
