Basketball dominates Monday schedule

Several local basketball teams will be in action Monday.

On the high school level, Bakersfield’s girls host Thayer, the Melbourne boys travel to Walnut Ridge, St. Joe entertains Mount Judea, and Lead Hill is home against Eureka Springs.

In junior varsity basketball, Omaha’s boys host Alpena.

Mountain Home’s three junior high boys’ teams will be in front of the home crowd as they face Greene County Tech. The seventh grade game tips off at 4 p.m. followed by the eighth grade and freshmen matches.
Mountain Home will also have three junior high girls’ games against Tech, but they will be played at Paragould. The seventh grade game begins at 4:00, and the eighth grade and freshmen contests will follow.
In other junior high basketball, Norfork entertains Calico Rock, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Eros to take on Bruno-Pyatt, Viola is home against Salem, Mammoth Spring heads to Imboden to meet Sloan-Hendrix, Marshall hosts Mountain View, Valley Springs travels to Bentonville, and Western Grove makes the trip to Jasper.
