With most area schools resuming their schedules Wednesday after the holiday break, Yellville-Summit Superintendent Wes Henderson is recommending parents not leave their children at bus stops for extended periods of time due to the cold weather conditions.

Henderson says while school officials have been gearing up for the return by taking such steps as starting all buses to ensure they remain in working order, with the cold temperatures the possibility is there for them not to start or be delayed in starting. These potential delays could leave students waiting in the cold temperatures longer than parents had planned.

Meanwhile, Mountain Home Water/Sewer Director Alma Clark is reminding customers they may call the Mountain Home Police Department at 870-425-6336 if there is an after hours water/sewer emergency such as water leaks, sewer backups or manhole overflows.   The Police Department will then notify the water/sewer department on call personnel to check the problem.
