NAC quarterfinals wrap up, MHJH teams pick up wins

In high school basketball Thursday night, the North Arkansas College Tournament continued at Harrison with the completion of the quarterfinal round.
In boy’s games, Yellville-Summit knocked off Cotter 62-50 and Alpena was a 39-32 winner over Jasper.
In girl’s action, Cotter was a 47-38 winner over Omaha and Bergman beat Dover 47-28.

The Mountain Home Junior High basketball teams all picked up wins over Batesville Southside.
The Junior Lady Bombers were 56-28 winners at home. Kate Gilbert led the way with 17 points and Mariah Hudson added 13 points as Mountain Home improves to 10-3.
Mountain Home won the junior girl’s J.V. game 29-2 to improve to 4-2.
Mountain Home won three junior boy’s games at Batesville Southside. The Junior Bombers were 46-32 winners. The Junior Bombers are now 14-1 on the season.
Mountain Home won the 8th grade game 25-22 to up their record to 3-9.
Mountain Home also took the 7th grade boy’s game 31-28.

The Mountain Home Christian Academy teams traveled to Forsyth where they won both games over Riverview Christian.
In the varsity boy’s game, the Eagles were 63-58 winners. Cooper Long scored 21 points and Caleb Spray added 16.
The Eagles won the J.V. boy’s game 54-44. Corey Palella had 16 points and Gideon Spray added 10.
