MHHS board members to be recognized Thursday

The monthly meeting of the Mountain Home School Board is scheduled for Thursday evening at 6:00. Among the items on the meeting’s agenda is the presentation of a proclamation, issued by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, recognizing school board members for their service and designating January as Arkansas School Board Recognition Month. There will be a reception to honor board members before the meeting from 5:45 to 6:00.Other items on the meetings agenda includes academic, financial and enrollment reports. Recommendations to approve purchases including a maintenance truck and iPads to complete the classroom sets for all kindergarten through first grade core content area teachers will also be made.

A recommendation will be heard to appoint members to a District Curriculum Committee. The proposed members are Leigh Anne Gigliotti (chair), Dana Brown (recorder) Cassy Barnhill (Special Education Department), Arnie Knox (Board member representative), Sheena Estes (parent representative), Brody Jennings (student representative), Jeri Thomas (Mountain Home Kindergarten), Cathleen Roberson (Nelson-Wilks-Herron), Alyssa Edwards (Nelson-Wilks-Herron), Mariah Kohler (Hackler Intermediate School), Michelle Clark (Hackler Intermediate School), Danielle Bennett (Hackler Intermediate School), John Jones (Pinkston Middle School), Shelli Jones (Mountain Home Junior High), and Bradford Young (Mountain Home High School).
