Some schools across the Twin Lakes Area remain closed Friday in the wake of the winter storm that began Sunday morning. A significant amount of rural roads remain icy and snow packed, especially in places where little sun hits throughout the day.In Arkansas Mammoth Spring and Salem Public Schools are closed.
Schools shut down in Missouri include Ava Head Start, Bakersfield, Dora, Gainesville Head Start and Gainesville Public School, Lutie, Mansfield, Norwood, Plainview, Thayer and Thornfield.
There are no other cancellations being reported including all government offices.
