New members are being recruited for one of the most recognized group of volunteers in the state park system.

Bull Shoals-White River State Park Ranger Interpreter Julie Lovett says she is seeking thoughtful, committed citizens to join the park’s volunteer group.

This group of volunteers has won the Arkansas State Park Director’s Special Commendation for the Best Overall Volunteer Program for three years.

Lovett says volunteers at the state park provide an endless amount of talent and life experience priceless to the mission of Bull Shoals-White River State Park. They contribute their time to special events, day camps, workshops, children’s programs, nature programs, lake cruises, and much more.

For more information about becoming a volunteer, call Lovett at 870-445-3629.
