Arkansas native Ashley McBryde is scheduled to appear on the popular NBC television show Late Night with Seth Meyers Tuesday night at 11:35. McBryde is from Mammoth Spring and her debut album ‘Girl Going Nowhere’ is scheduled to be released March 30th.McBryde’s website, http://www.ashleymcbryde.com/band, says the title track from the forthcoming L.P. was built from her life’s experience including a time when a teacher told her that her dreams of writing songs in Nashville would never see the light of day.

An article https://www.rollingstone.com/country/news/ashley-mcbryde-readies-new-album-girl-going-nowhere-w515642 in Rolling Stone Thursday says the teacher taught algebra in McBryde’s high school.

The teacher’s ill-fated prophecy has proven untrue as her song ‘A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” was named one of the 54 best songs of 2017 https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/06/arts/music/best-songs.html by pop music critic Jon Carmanica of the New York Times.

McBryde and her band of four, Deadhorse, including drummer and Mountain Home native Quinn Hill, will be on the road with Luke Combs in February through early March, then touring overseas in Amsterdam and London. When they come back to the U.S. they join Miranda Lambert in Des Moines, Iowa March 15th.

In a January social media post Hill said “to all those people in my life that have said ‘One day, I’m gonna see you on TV and be like..I know that guy!’…you believed in me even when I didn’t, and I can’t thank you enough. Our first show of 2018 will be our national television debut. As I try to not forget how to play drums in front of millions of people, I will be thinking of you all and saying thank you. To the camera. With my eyes. And a little head nod.”
