Gainesville’s new Missouri Ozark Community Health building is expected to open within the next few weeks just north of the Gainesville post office.

The Ozark County Times reports a spokesperson for Missouri Ozark Community Health says he expects the new 6,000-square-foot building will be finished by the end of February or early March, if the weather cooperates.

Work still to be done includes moving medical equipment into the new offices from the 13-year-old modular building on the west side of the community health property and then dismantling the old building to allow for parking lot grading and concrete work to be completed.

In addition to medical spaces, the new building will include a community room where residents and groups can hold community gatherings.

When the project was announced in April 2016, the estimated cost of the building was given as $1.2 million; it is partially funded by a $900,000 Health Infrastructure Investment Program grant awarded in 2015 through the Affordable Care Act’s Community Health Center fund.
